I was drawn into Roleplaying games via the wonderful Fighting Fantasy books in 83 and had been playing D&D for a year or so when one of my friends turned up with the very same Games Workshop version of RQ2, frothing with enthusiasm! A Soviet-occupied America – without further elaboration – is a sufficient premise for a role-playing game (see Freedom Fighters, also published by Fantasy Games Unlimited, also in 1986). Would have continued the 'storyline' of the introductory adventures provided in the Adventure Guide. Would have been a distinct adventure module.
